Your fireplace is a great way to keep the house warm in the winter, but chimneys are known to collect creosote and soot which causes smoke to come out the door of the fireplace and back into the house. In order to prevent this from happening, it is important that you have your firplace cleaned routinely, which also decreases the chances of a fire in your home.
There are many professionals in your area that will come and clean your chimney. If you choose to do the job yourself, be sure that you have all the tools that you need in order to keep yourself safe during this dirty process.
Thanks for the information, we haven’t had our fireplace cleaned since we moved in two years ago so I guess it’s about time we started looking into some professional cleaners. It’ll probably be safer than if we did it ourselves, fingers crossed it isn’t too expensive!
